Testicular biopsy
It is a complementary technique offered in our assisted human reproduction service.
This is a complementary technique offered in our assisted human reproduction service.
It consists of obtaining sperm from the testicle when it is impossible to obtain them from the ejaculate.
The procedure is designed to cause the least possible disturbance to the patient, through the analysis of testicular tissue obtained after a biopsy.
Our program is coordinated to immediately cryopreserve those samples in which viable sperm are obtained and cause the least possible damage to the recovered tissue.
This technique is indicated in the following cases:
- Azoospermia or absence of sperm in the ejaculate.
- Men who have previously undergone a vasectomy and in whom the sperm content of the ejaculate is compromised.
